The Cheapside Hoard… a treasure trove of 16th and 17th century upper-middle class pieces found in London only recently. There are over 30 necklaces in the Cheapside Hoard! I can’t wait to go to London again someday and take a look at all of it in person.

Possibly Francesco Maria della Rovere or Raphael’s mistress Margherita Luti
Purchased from the Giustiniani family between 1799­-1801 by Adam Jerzy Czartoryski. Lost during World War II, last location: Czartoryski Museum, Kraków, Poland. The original was stolen by Nazi-German authorities (Hans Frank) in 1939 and it was never returned to the Polish possesor.
